Livingrooms

In 1994, the apartment where Schmitz spent her childhood caught fire. While her father survived, most of his belongings did not as the apartment was almost completely destroyed. Three weeks after the fire Schmitz was permitted to document the remains of what had once been her parental home.

Livingrooms was exhibited at Galleri Aronowitsch in Stockholm and at Galerie Leger in Malmö. The photographs were also exhibited in Paris at Centre Culturel Suédois as a part of "Mois de la Photo".
